The ACME Thunderer 60.5 Air Ministry Whistle is an authentic reproduction of the original flight jacket whistle used by RAF and USAAF pilots and aircrews during World War II.
Often called the “Ditch Whistle”, it was used by downed pilots at sea to attract rescue ships.

Made from Solid brass and stamped with the same original dies used between 1939 and 1945, it bears the historic “A.M.” (Air Ministry) and King’s Crown markings, along with detailed wartime codes.

Featuring a cork pea, high-pitched tone (3600 Hz), and very loud sound, this small Thunderer model embodies ACME’s heritage of precision craftsmanship — still handmade in Birmingham, England since 1870.
